The organisers of this year’s Royal Statistical Society international conference, which will be held in Harrogate from 4 to 7 September, have announced Anuj Srivastava as the first keynote speaker to be added to the programme.
Anuj Srivastava is a professor in the Department of Statistics at the Florida State University (FSU). He obtained his PhD from Washington University in St Louis in 1996 and joined the faculty of FSU in 1997. His research interests include statistical computer vision, functional data analysis, and shape analysis. He has held several visiting positions at European universities, including INRIA, France; the University of Lille; and Durham University. He has co-authored more than 250 papers in peer-reviewed journals, and several books, including the 2016 Springer textbook on Functional and Shape Data Analysis.
