The Office for National Statistics has recently developed the Health Index for England, a new statistical tool for understanding the nation’s health and its determinants. The Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust have expanded upon the Health Index, utilising local data to produce more granular estimates of health.
In this webinar, Greg Ceely will outline the origins of the Index, methodologies used to construct it, and some of its uses. Kara Baines and Chris Wilcockson will explain how they constructed the lower super output area (LSOA) level version of the Index for Northumbria, and the insights this has achieved for monitoring health in that trust. There will then be opportunity for Q&A with all presenters.
