The Plural of anecdote can be data: the case of the Loch Ness Monster

Can reports of the anomalous be considered as data or is it a matter of "the plural of anecdote is not data?". Here Charles Paxton will explore what we can and cannot say about the Loch Ness Monster and other reports of anomalous giant aquatic animals and try to determine what the limits of data actually are.

The seminar takes place in Polwarth Building 1.029. There is some parking available, for example, at the nearby Hospital. If you don’t know the location well, this diagram of the Foresterhill campus may help.
