Nominations open for RSS presidential election

Nominations are now open for the role of the next RSS president and will remain open until 28 February 2025.

Following the start of Sir John Aston’s term as RSS president (2025–26), the 2025 President Nominating Committee (PNC) will soon convene to find his successor, who will take on the role from January 2027 until December 2028.

The RSS president is a representative for the Society and should support the areas of focus and key strategic aims highlighted for their term. They must also agree to and comply with the values of the Society, and actively contribute to them where possible.

Nominations should be sent via email to CEO Dr Sarah Cumbers at s.cumbers@rss.org.uk, including, if possible, an explanation of why you are nominating the individual, providing some detail of their past service to the Society.

More information on the criteria and process for electing RSS presidents can be found here.
