The
Edinburgh Local Group of the Royal Statistical Society (RSS) is looking for new members to serve on its committee.
As a committee member, you will get to contribute new ideas for local activities and help plan and deliver a programme of events. You will be joining an engaged and enthusiastic group from a range of professions and sectors.
We aim to organise four to five events a year to actively engage the local statistical community and those with an interest in statistics, data science or their applications. Our next event will be our AGM combined with two talks on forensic statistics. This will be held in LT3, Appleton Tower and on MSTeams at 6pm on Tuesday 14th November. If you are interested in attending,
please sign up here.
To express interest or discuss joining the committee, please contact Tess Vernon (
tess.vernon@bioss.ac.uk) by 11th November with a paragraph (up to 300 words) summarising your background, why you would like to join, and what you will contribute to the committee.
The RSS is committed to ensuring an inclusive and welcoming environment for all who care about good data and statistics.
