Congratulations to RSS fellow Professor BM Golam Kibria, who has been appointed Honorary Doctor at Jönköping University in Sweden. Professor Kibria is currently in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Florida International University, USA but conducted a large amount of his research at Jönköping International Business School and internationally.
He has published approximately 235 research articles in renowned statistics journals as well as co-authoring two books.
Honorary Doctor is awarded to people who have significantly contributed to the development of research and education at Jönköping University. Professor Kibria was one of three new honorary doctors appointed this year and will be conferred at the university’s Academic Ceremony on 8 October.
