The 40th Fisher Memorial Lecture will be given by Professor Kanti Mardia at the Mathematical Institute, Oxford, at 5.30pm on 18 November 2022. The title of the lecture is “Fisher's Legacy of Multivariate Analysis, Statistics on Manifolds, and Beyond”.
The lecture will cover many topics, not just manifolds and multivariate methods but applications to palaeomagnetism and machine learning and ranging from Fisher’s original innovations to 21
st century development.
