The RSS has now confirmed its public course programme for 2022 and invites everyone looking to enhance their data and statistical skills to take a look.
The course programme for next year offers 30 course deliveries covering 24 different subjects. Many don't require a statistical background, such as 'Essentials of survey research design', 'Data visualisation' and 'Presenting data', while other courses will delve further into statistical theory, such as 'Bayesian meta-analysis' and 'Multilevel modelling'.
There is an ever-expanding number of statistical software courses at all levels. Most of these courses are based in the R statistical computing environment, but there are also 'Introduction to' and 'Intermediate' courses in Python.
While many courses in 2022 will return to being delivered in-person at our offices in London, some will continue to be offered as 'virtual classrooms'. We hope this makes them more accessable to people unable to travel to our offices; we received positive feedback from delegates who attended our online courses during the pandemic.
All of the courses count towards CPD for professionally accredited RSS members and there are generous discounts for fellows, GradStats, CStats, registered Data Analysts and MIS/FIS members.
As always, the RSS welcomes suggestions for new courses or hear from experienced tutors who would be interested in delivering training for us. You can contact us at training@rss.org.uk.
