The RSS has signed up its first corporate membership partner in Japan. Big Data Lab is an organisation of data scientists, which promotes the use of big data and provides various analytics services to industries worldwide.
The RSS has over 1,000 corporate members. Big Data Lab is the first corporate partner in Asia.
Commenting on the news, Stian Westlake, RSS Chief Executive, said, ‘We are delighted to announce Big Data Lab as our first corporate partner in Japan. As a professional body for statisticians and data analysts, we share their commitment to the proper use of statistics and data for the public good.’
Suguru Tanaka (pictured), CEO of Big Data Lab, added, ‘As the only corporate partner of RSS in Japan, we will continue to promote the use of statistics to realise a sustainable society in the era of big data.’
