Congratulations to RSS Honorary Fellow Tim Harford, who was awarded an OBE, 'For services to Improving Economic Understanding' in the 2019 New Year's Honours list.
Tim is a senior columnist at the Financial Times and the presenter of Radio 4’s More or Less programme. He has written several books, including 'Fifty Things That Made the Modern Economy' and the popular 'The Undercover Economist'.
Tim won our Statistical Excellence in Journalism award 2015, and his BBC Radio 4 programme, 'More or Less', has won several times, winning in 2010 and 2013, with special commendations in 2011, 2012 and 2014. In 2014 he delivered the RSS Conference Significance lecture. The RSS made him an honorary fellow of the Society in 2017.
