RSS fellow and current chair of the RSS National Statistics Advisory Group, Stephen Penneck, has been nominated as the next president-elect of the International Statistical Institute (ISI).
Stephen is currently ISI vice president and is the sole nominee for the next president-elect role. If uncontested, he will begin his tenure as president-elect in 2019, taking on the presidency in 2021 when he will replace John Bailer.
Four nominations for two vice president positions, and nine council nominations for eight positions on the ISI council were also proposed in the ISI officer’s elections. The election for all of these positions will take place during August –September 2018.
