RSS Conference heads to Belfast in 2019

Belfast has been announced as the venue for the Society’s Conference in 2019. The event will take place at the Belfast Waterfront from 2-5 September 2019. It will be the first time the conference has been in Northern Ireland since 2006.

Lisa McFetridge from Queen’s University Belfast has been appointed as the programme chair for the conference and is looking forward to welcoming the Society to Northern Ireland: 'I’m thrilled that the RSS Conference is coming back to Belfast. I’m excited to show off the many exciting changes our city has gone through since many of you were last here. Come and see why at the moment it is rated Lonely Planet’s number one region to visit!'

Paul Gentry, the Society’s conference manager, commented: 'Following the record number of attendees at the 2017 Conference and what looks like being another record breaking year in 2018, we have secured a venue in Belfast which will enable us to keep growing participation in the conference. With more space for exhibitors, catering and posters and some amazing venues for the evening social events lined up, I’m looking forward to bringing conference to Belfast.'

More details about the 2019 Conference and how to contribute to the programme will be available over the summer.
