The Annual General Meeting of the Section will take place at 4.45 pm preceding the talk.

Speaker:
Sir Robert Worcester

Abstract:
Polls don't forecast, they are 'snapshots at a point in time'. Pundits do, the media does, sometimes pollsters do, but we pollsters don't gaze into crystal balls, read tea leaves or guess what the future will bring. Polling's a simple business really, all we have to do is "Ask the right questions, of the right sample, and add up the figures correctly.

The talk is expected to last until 6pm, followed by a question-and-answer session until 6:30. There will be a short break during the talk and before the Q & A.
