Blaise Egan, a Chartered Statistician who retired last year from BT (British Telecommunications PLC) after 47 years, in a career mostly involved with statistics, either doing it or advising others.

"I tackled many different kinds of problems (technical, organisational and interpersonal), 
saw many changes and learned a few lessons worth passing on to others. Several notable projects will be described, along with observations about the context and issues that arose. 
I have some opinions about future of the engineering and statistical professions and changes that need to be made."
