The Cathie Marsh Institute is delighted to announce an exciting forthcoming event on Monday 27th November to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Cathie’s death and to celebrate her legacy. This one-day conference will showcase some of the highlights of internationally important substantive and methodological research that is being carried out in the institute.
The keynote speech will be delivered by the National Statistician Professor Sir Ian Diamond. Sir Ian, who heads the Government Statistical Service, is a long-term friend of the institute and a former chief executive of the Economic and Social Research Council. The conference will be opened by the University’s vice president for research, Professor Colette Fagan, and speakers include Professors James Nazroo, Mark Elliot, Natalie Shlomo, Rachel Gibson, Ed Fieldhouse, and Alex Bogdan (Ipsos).
The conference will be held at etc.venues, Portland Street, and will open with registration and lunch at 11:45 am and close with a drinks reception at 17:45 pm. The full program will be published on Eventbrite soon, and places are limited so please hold the date and reserve a place here.
