Pythagoras popularised the formal study of geometry some 2800 years ago, yet despite geometry being the key tool behind breakthroughs in the natural sciences, the role of geometry is mainly overlooked in finance and statistics.  In this talk Martyn sets the scene for finance based on geometry, and discusses the application of Pythagorean philosophy to our financial futures.
 
Speaker: Martyn Dorey

Martyn, is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries (2003) and the managing director of Dorey Financial Modelling, a Guernsey based actuarial technology business.  The business was established in November 2013 to serve clients and pursue basic scientific research.  Martyn previously worked for a number of leading investment consultants, and prior to setting up his own business won several awards from the actuarial profession.
