The Young Statisticians' Meeting (YSM) is an annual two-day conference. It is an excellent opportunity for students and early-career statisticians to exhibit their work, discuss ideas and network with their peers in a friendly and encouraging environment.

Anyone in the first 10 years of their statistical career or currently studying for a PhD, MSc or BSc in statistics or a subject with statistical content is welcome.

The conference will feature keynote speakers from across academia and industry, as well as opportunities for early-career researchers to present their work as a contributed talk. The abstract submission deadline is the 3rd June 2022 at midnight GMT.  

Abstract Submission

  • Please email your abstract submission to youngstats2022@gmail.com by the 3rd June 2022
  • There is a 250 word limit on abstracts. 
  • The presenting author is expected to attend the conference and present their abstract. Presenting authors of abstracts must be registered participants.
  • All submitted abstracts will be forwarded to the committee for review. Notifications regarding status will be sent once the review process is complete.
  • Please include the following information in the main body of the e-mail sent to 
    youngstats2022@gmail.com: 
    • Presenting author's contact details (full name and email address)
    • List of co-authors
    • Affiliations for presenting author and co-authors.
