An update on our concessionary membership fees

We want to give more help to those who find it hardest to pay for their RSS membership so will be increasing the discount on the standard fees for those in Economically Developing Area (EDA) countries* and those on a career break who are not earning a salary.

Having reduced the fees for these groups in 2022, from next year we will be offering an increased discount of 60% on the standard membership fees, bringing the annual fee for a fellow down to £58. Continuing our plans to ensure the Society is as inclusive as possible, we expect to offer a further discount in future years.

If you are not already subscribed at the concessionary rate, do get in touch if you think you might be eligible so we can make sure you are being charged the correct fee. If you’re new to the Society go to our website to join on the concessionary rate and learn more about our member benefits.

* Our EDA list is taken from the “Low-income economies” and “Lower-middle-income economies” columns of the World Bank’s list of Country and Lending Groups. You can see the list of countries here.
