A short survey for statisticians on the use of online platforms

Statisticians work in many fields, and they may work alone, as a group with other statisticians, and/or in a multidisciplinary team of experts. Irrespective of their place of work and/or level of experience, it is often important for a statistician, especially those in their early career, to network with other statisticians. This helps the statistician to learn ideas from experienced ones, get updates of any new developments in the field, get answers to specific statistical questions, discuss statistical issues that matter to them and/or the field of statistics, create a new network to work together, and so on. These benefits can be achieved in different ways, one of which could be a free online discussion forum or community platform for statisticians.

The Statistics Workstream of the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) Methodology Incubator is interested to know the experiences of statisticians in using online platforms and which of the many online ‘query’ platforms are most useful to statisticians. If you are a statistician, we would like to invite you to complete a short survey by 30th May 2022 (survey link provided below). The survey is anonymous and takes no more than 5 minutes. Thank you for your participation.
