On 3 December 2018 the Glasgow Local Group welcomed Laura Bonnett to give a talk on the RSS statistical outreach activities entitled 'Penguins, playing cards and statistics engagement'. Laura interacted with a number of the 36 members of the audience and gave everyone the opportunity to volunteer to try out some of the activities available.
The activities are all demonstrated on the RSS website at rss.org.uk/hands-on.
This entertaining introduction to some of the statistics engagement activities offered by the RSS was followed by a discussion on how well received the events have been and how these could be adapted for different age groups and different types of events.
