Standing up for Science workshop in Edinburgh

Sense About Science invites applications from early career researchers for its Standing up for Science workshop in Edinburgh on 20 September.

It's open to early career researchers (PhD students, post-doctoral fellows or equivalents) across all STEM fields and social sciences, as well as trainees and medical professionals and is free to attend.

The workshop aims to give young researchers the tools to make their voices heard by the public, the media and policymakers to increase the impact of their research on society. They include discussions around misrepresentation of science in the media and how evidence influences policy, with practical tips and tricks.

More information about the workshop is available on the Sense About Science website. The application deadline is 5pm on Friday, 16 August.
