The Society is looking to recruit volunteers to join our Manchester local group committee. We are looking to reinstate a local group to engage with the statistical community in Manchester. Local group committees consist of officers (chair, secretary and treasurer) and committee members, and we are seeking fellows based in the local area to fill these roles.
The committee will oversee the planning and delivery of talks, events and social activities in Manchester. The group’s activities will also include:

sharing statistical expertise with local organisations and industries

organising events with the Society’s Sections on specific areas of statistical interest

communicating the value of statistics to school pupils and students
