ONS Fellows - Economic experts wanted

The Office for National Statistics (ONS) is looking for economic experts to become ONS Fellows. Since the first fellows were appointed two years ago they have provided help in measuring the UK economy in the following ways:

  • Working closely with the Wellbeing team to help improve estimates of human capital
  • Delivering plans to introduce so-called 'double deflation'
  • Working with the Productivity team on the re-allocation of labour
  • Delivering improved estimates of prices changes in the telecoms sector.

Now ONS wants to recruit more ONS Fellows – and is looking for individuals who can provide hands-on support to its teams and bespoke analysis to help find and deliver innovative solutions to complex problems.

If you are interested, or have a colleague who might be suitable, find out more about how to apply to be an ONS fellow in this blog.
