The Society's East Midlands local group is seeking a new chair to lead the committee in 2019.
The chair, who will serve a four-year term, is responsible for the overall direction of the local group. They represent the local group, both within and external to the Society, and make sure the group delivers an annual programme of events and talks in the local area.
The local group committee organises 3-4 events every year to share statistical expertise with local organisations and industries, promote specific areas of statistical interest with the Society's Sections and communicate the value of statistics to school pupils and students. If you would like to contribute to the running of the local group then this is your opportunity to get involved.
If you are interested in taking on this role then please do get in touch with David Sirl (secretary) to discuss what it involves.
