Policy recommendations
Informed by the case studies and principles in this initiative, we have developed a set of recommendations. These outline practical steps policymakers can take to ensure that data and analyses are able to feed into decision-making in pressurised situations.
The five recommendations cover:
- Data consideration – including collection, sharing and analysis plans
- Data literacy training for policy-makers
- Use of confidence ratings alongside statistical outputs
- Team structure to enable evidence to feed into decision-making
- Funding decisions to consider long-term value and the ability to sustain pressurised work when necessary.
Take a look at the
recommendations.
