Scott Heald is Director of Digital & Data Innovation and Head of Profession for Statistics in Scotland.  He’ll give some insights from his career as a statistician and talk about his current work in Public Health Scotland and the role of data analysts/statisticians within that. Scott will give some personal reflections on the work of the organisation during the COVID pandemic, the importance data and analytics played during that period, and our use of technology which transformed the way we work. Scott will no doubt digress onto other topics – those who know him will know he can’t resist a reference to buses, music, his garden or Doctor Who – but don’t let that put you off!

The Manchester local group AGM will also take place during this event.
