All three journals of the Royal Statistical Society have improved their rankings in the latest release of the Journal Citation Reports for 2022. Our Series B journal also significantly increased its impact factor – a measure of how often they are cited in other academic work – though there was a slight decrease for Series A and C.
The 2022 Journal Citation Reports (JCR) have now been released and reveal that all three journals of the RSS improved their rankings for 2022. The Impact Factor (IF) for Series B increased significantly, although there was a slight decrease for Series A and C.
Series A (Statistics in society) is now ranked 34/125 in the Statistics and Probability category, moving up 5 places from last year’s 39/125. Its impact factor is 2.0 (down from 2.483).
Series B (Statistical methodology) moves up four places to 3/125 in the Statistics and Probability category, with an impact factor of 5.8, which represents an 18% increase on last year’s value of 4.933.
Series C (Applied statistics) is now ranked 56/125 in the Statistics and Probability category, a rise of two places over last year, while the impact factor is 1.6 (was 1.68).
