The panel session will consist of three parts. In the first part, invited speakers will each present and share their own experiences from their previous and current roles. The second part of the panel session will be a panel discussion with open questions from the chair and attendees. In the third and final part, attendees have the opportunity to interact with invited speakers and network with others.

Food and refreshments will be provided for the event, made possible by the generous support of G-Research.

Update on 1 November:
A planned tube strike is scheduled for the coming weeks, with no tube services expected on Thursday. To accommodate those unable to travel to Central London, we will now run the careers panel in a hybrid format. A Zoom link will be sent to all registered attendees.

Please note: due to fire safety regulations, the room has a capacity limit of 60 people. In-person admission will begin at 5:30 pm on a first-come, first-served basis until the room reaches capacity.

The Young Statisticians Section (YSS) is hosting a career panel session to showcase a range of careers in statistics and data science for students who are seeking options for their career paths, as well as early career researchers who want to learn more about alternative career options. Invited speakers will share their experience and insights working in civil services, charities, universities and industries.
