Submissions are now open for invited topic sessions and workshops for our 2026 conference, which will take place in Bournemouth from 7–10 September 2026.
Invited sessions will be 80 minutes long and can take various formats, such as speaker panels, workshops or discussions. We’re particularly keen to receive proposals that showcase new research, methodological advances, topical debates, and innovative case studies. Innovation in format is also encouraged, and technical sessions should include introductory content or a discussant to ensure accessibility.
We welcome proposals from individuals, groups and organisations, and you don’t need to be an RSS fellow to submit. Sessions should ideally align with one of the conference’s topic streams and reflect the breadth of sectors working with statistics and data science — including academia, business, industry, government and the public sector.
The deadline for submissions is
21 November 2025, and proposals must be submitted using the
official submission form, following the
guidelines for proposals.
