Economist, broadcaster and journalist Tim Harford has been confirmed as the speaker for the 2024 Campion (President’s Invited) Lecture, which will be held as part of the Society’s Conference in Brighton this September.
An honorary member of the RSS, Tim is also an associate member of Nuffield College, Oxford and an honorary fellow of Brasenose College, Oxford. He is author of “How To Make the World Add Up”, “Messy”, and “The Undercover Economist”, which sold over a million copies.
Tim is a senior columnist at the Financial Times and the presenter of Radio 4’s “More or Less”, the iTunes-topping series “Fifty Things That Made the Modern Economy”, and the podcast “Cautionary Tales”. In the New Year honours of 2019, Tim was made an OBE for services to improving economic understanding.
The Campion Lecture is scheduled to take place on Wednesday 4 September at 10am as part of RSS 2024 International Conference.
