The YSS is all about fostering connections and providing support for early statisticians and students. We organize a variety of exciting events throughout the year, including career days, webinars, competitions, and engaging sessions at the prestigious RSS Annual Conference. Why Volunteer with Us:
Being part of the YSS Committee is not just a commitment; it's an incredibly rewarding and fun experience! We're in search of creative minds brimming with fresh ideas to engage with the early-career statistics community and help shape our events.
What You'll Do:
As a committee member, you'll attend
three meetings annually and represent the YSS and RSS at events (we cover reasonable travel expenses). You'll also play a pivotal role in planning and executing our events in RSS annual conference.

If you're excited to join our committee, simply send an email to
youngstatisticians@rss.org.uk with the subject line
"YSS Committee 2024 Application" followed by your name. Include a brief statement (up to 250 words) outlining your background and your motivation to join us. Please note that committee members are required to be or become full fellows of the RSS.
Important Dates:
Applications are open now until
5pm on Sunday, 8th October 2023. We'll announce the members of the YSS Committee 2024 in late October 2023.
