The organisers of this year’s RSS International Conference in Aberdeen have revealed the draft programme for the event which runs from 12-15 September.
The programme will include over 60 invited topic sessions and professional development workshops, organised into ten topic streams.
Invited sessions topics will range from high-dimensional data to risk prediction models, and evidence-based policy making to the role of statistics in supporting ballet dancers, and many topics in between. Not surprisingly both climate change and pandemics will also feature strongly on the programme.
Fifteen professional development workshops are scheduled to run over the three days with subjects being covered including mentoring, data science certification, linked open data, research ethics for AI, statistical consultancy, career advice and R markdown.
The conference will be preceded by an Early Career Researchers workshop, organised by the RSS Young Statisticians Section, on Monday 12 September.
The line-up of keynote speakers will be announced over the next few weeks; the remainder of the conference programme will be comprised of contributed talks, rapid-fire talks and poster presentations.
Submissions are currently open with an initial deadline of 5 April for talk submissions.
Registrations are now open: more information on booking your place can be found on the 2022 Conference home page.
