We are pleased to announce that Professor Adrian Raftery will give the Campion (President’s Invited) Lecture at the Society’s 2022 International Conference in Aberdeen this September.
Adrian Raftery is the Boeing International Professor of Statistics and Sociology, and an adjunct professor of Atmospheric Sciences at the University of Washington. He develops new statistical methods for problems in the social, environmental and health sciences. An elected member of the US National Academy of Sciences, he was identified as the world's most cited researcher in mathematics for the decade 1995-2005 by Thomson-ISI.
Adrian commented, 'I am really delighted to accept this invitation. It is a big honour, and I am particularly pleased that environmental research is a focus this year.'
The Campion Lecture is one of seven keynote sessions at the conference. Further announcements on the other keynote speakers will follow over the next few weeks.
