An interactive workshop hosted by the International Development Section
The international statistical community is large and varied, spanning national societies, regional networks, thematic associations, and international bodies. Yet there is no clear map of this landscape: who these organisations are, what they do, and how they relate to one another. Or if there is, we have not found it yet.
This workshop invites participants to help shape what such a resource could look like. Together we will explore what it should include, what would make it useful, and how we might go about building it. There is no fixed framework: this is a chance to explore together what we might create and how.
Please be advised this event will take place UK time.
Session outline:
- Welcome & Goals: Why we’re mapping this landscape and what we hope to get out of the session
- Group Exploration: A shared discussion about what a resource like this could look like and what we might want it to do
- Breakout Discussions: A chance to dig into the detail — what the resource could include, how it might be built, and what each of us knows or could contribute
- Synthesis & Next Steps: Reflecting on what we have learned and where this might take us
Join us to help sketch the first contours of this global map.
