Our third event in the series of "10 key skills for Data Science that universities are failing to teach" is focusing on regulation of AI.
Artificial intelligence is rapidly moving from research and experimentation into real-world products, services, and decision-making processes. As a result, data scientists and AI practitioners increasingly need to understand the regulatory, governance, and risk considerations that accompany the use of AI.
This event will provide a practical introduction to the AI regulatory landscape, focusing on what data scientists and analysts need to know in practice rather than legal detail. The programme will include an overview talk on the current AI regulatory and governance landscape, industry case studies on how AI regulations impact data science work flows and a panel discussion including audience Q&A.
Information on travelling to the University, including public transport, parking, cycling, and accessibility, can be found on the University's travel advice page: University of Bath travel advice. The campus is well connected to Bath city centre by bus and is easily accessible from Bath Spa railway station.
