Last talk in the 2025 Seminar Series by Dr. Hannah Mitchell of the Department of Maths. and Stats.

All welcome !

Glaucoma is a complex neurodegenerative disease affecting millions worldwide and leads to irreversible vision loss. Progressive vision loss is caused by loss of retinal ganglion cells (RGCs), however, due to the high plasticity of the central nervous system patients often don’t realise until very late into the disease process. This presentation will discuss spatial point process techniques and the application of them to glaucoma RGC data in order to maximise information regarding the progression of the disease at the cellular level.

Hanna will speak in person in the Maths & Physics  Teaching Centre (Room G005)  and to the online audience using MS Teams (link) at 1pm GMT.
