We will be celebrating our 80th anniversary on Wednesday 3rd December 2025 (12:00-3:00pm) in The Diamond, University of Sheffield.
We will start with a short AGM, and then we are delighted to host RSS President Professor Sir John Aston, who will give a seminar on “The Role of Statistics in Society". Afterwards, we will have further opportunity for questions, networking and reminiscing over a buffet lunch.

The RSS Sheffield Local Group was formed 80 years ago in December 1945. We will mark the occasion with a special event on Wednesday 3rd December 2025, 12:00-3:00pm in The Diamond, Leavygreave Road, University of Sheffield.
