Help us improve disability data for public-interest research

As part of our project exploring data gaps around poverty in the UK, funded by the Joseph Rowntree Foundation’s Insight Infrastructure team, we’re calling for people with an interest in disability data to join us for a workshop on 19 February 2026.

Having recently published the project’s interim findings, the next stage in tackling poverty-related data gaps is a series of in-depth workshops looking into the areas we have found to be most in need of attention. One of these will be focusing on practical ways to improve disability data for public-interest research.

The conversation will build on findings from a roundtable we held in December about challenges affecting researchers and advocates working at the intersection of disability and poverty. A summary of that roundtable is available here

The workshop will be in-person and held in London. It will run from 10:00 to 13:00, with lunch provided. If you have experience in this area and would like to attend, please email policy@rss.org.uk with a short expression of interest and an outline of your area of work or experience.
