Policy and advocacy at the RSS: A call out for member feedback

It has been a busy time at the RSS across our policy and advocacy work as we continue to drive forward our strategic aims of championing the public interest and supporting public understanding and engagement. There will be further details on our activities in this space in our new quarterly policy blog, but for now we are requesting member feedback on our horizon-scanning in this work area.

Horizon scanning is an essential part of this work and one of our priorities in our strategy,  as it allows us to identify real-world topics and emerging trends where statistics are a key focus. We would appreciate member feedback on this, if you can answer a short set of questions on the issues you think are of most importance to our community and where we can have most impact.

Your insights along with those of Sections and local groups will feed into a workshop we will be running in June led by our vice-president for external affairs, Scott Heald.

Please give us your feedback on this by answering this set of questions by 12 noon BST on 27 May 2025.

If you have any questions or comments do get in touch at policy@rss.org.uk
