The
Highlands local group of the Royal Statistical Society (RSS) is looking for new members to serve on its committee.
As a committee member, you will get to contribute new ideas for local activities and help plan and deliver a programme of events. You will be joining an engaged and enthusiastic group from a range of professions and sectors.
We usually organise three to four events a year to actively engage the local statistical community and those with an interest in statistical methods and their applications. Our next event will be our AGM which is preceded by a talk from our Chair, Lorna Aucott, on the ‘Emergence of the RSS Highland Local Group – Celebration of our 55 year anniversary’. This will be held at 3.30pm on Thursday 3
rd November and will be a hybrid meeting. If you are interested in attending, please sign up to our mailing list. We will be advertising further event details closer to the time.

th October with a paragraph (up to 250 words) summarising your background, why you would like to join, and what you will contribute to the committee. Please note that you will need to be a fellow of the RSS to take up a position.

rd Nov 2022 at 4.15pm. It will be preceded by a talk from our Chair, Lorna Aucott, on the ‘Emergence of the RSS Highland Local Group – Celebration of our 55 year anniversary’. This will be held at 3.30pm on Thursday 3
rd November and will be a hybrid meeting. The event and AGM will be held in Room 115, Health Sciences Building, University of Aberdeen, Foresterhill, Aberdeen, AB24 2ZD.
