The Society is seeking a volunteer to join its Audit and Risk Committee. The committee, which reports to Council, oversees all systems, controls and processes that may have an impact on the Society’s ability to meet its objectives. The committee ensures that effective external audit functions and adequate risk management processes are in place, as well as ensuring that the Society is complying with all aspects of the law, relevant regulations and good practice. The committee also reviews the statutory accounts, and provides oversight of the Society's investment managers.
Volunteers would normally serve a four-year term. The Audit and Risk Committee meets formally twice a year, with further ad hoc meetings as required and some correspondence by email in between meetings. If you are interested, please contact Hetan Shah by 31 March 2019.
