The RSS International Development Section (IDS) has introduced two new topics on its forum on StatsLife - one for Statistical Capacity Development and one for the Sustainable Development Goals.
The Statistical Capacity Development forum is intended as place to share experiences of developing statistical capacity around the world and discuss questions such as: How is ‘capacity’ best defined? Can it be usefully measured? Whose capacity are we developing?
The Sustainable Development Goals forum is for interested parties to share what is happening around the world with the SDGs and how they are impacting on statisticians and statistical services. To get the ball rolling, IDS secretary Phil Crook has added a few documents, some historical and some recent ones, which may be of interest.
Don’t forget that you can set up alerts on StatsLife so that you will be notified of new posts which come in for the IDS, or indeed any other Section or Local Group in which you are interested. We also encourage users to report any spam or inappropriate posts if you see them.
