Volunteering and Member Recognition Co-ordinator

The Royal Statistical Society is an international professional body championing the vital role of statistics and data in society. We’re seeking a Volunteering and Member Recognition Co-ordinator to lead and develop best practice managing our volunteers and administer our skills-based volunteering programme Statisticians for Society and our member recognition initiatives. 

This role is perfect if you’re motivated by celebrating members’ achievement, supporting volunteers to succeed in their role and keeping projects running smoothly. You’ll have at least 1 year experience working with volunteers and in planning or coordinating projects. 

In this role, you’ll be: 
  • Coordinating the full life cycle of our Statisticians for Society projects: processing applications from third sector organisations, engaging volunteers, advertising opportunities, monitoring project documentation, progressing and evaluating individual projects 
  • Contributing to the developing best practice and delivering effective volunteering management across the organisation 
  • Provide administrative support for all awards processes that recognise our members achievement such as organising committees and panels and processing nominations.
