The role
The Chief Methodologist is a critical specialist advisor to the Government Statistician and Executive Leadership Team, and a thought leader on technical statistical methodological and data design considerations and decisions.
The Chief Methodologist leads Stats NZ’s Methods and Design branch – leading the strategic direction, planning, service goals and effective delivery, and is a key member of the third-tier leaders.

- be a strategic-thinker and thought-leader who can present complex information to a range of audiences, technical and non-technical
