This will be a panel discussion surrounding real world statistics, making statistics matter in improving people’s lives.
 

Join the Edinburgh Local Group on Monday 12th June at 6pm for a panel discussion surrounding Real World Statistics: making statistics matter in improving people’s lives. 

The event will be chaired by Alastair McAlpine, chief statistician for the Scottish Government.

On the panel will be: 
Dr Kasia Banas - Programme Co-Director for the DDI Health and Social Care programme at the Usher Institute, University of Edinburgh 
Professor Gabi Hegerl - Professor of Climate System Science, University of Edinburgh 
Dr Zhou Fang - Statistician working on COVID-19 wastewater analysis, Biomathematics and Statistics Scotland 

The event will begin with each panelist giving an introduction to their work, followed by the opportunity for audience members to ask questions to the chair and panel.
