Guy Medals in Bronze


The Guy Medal in Bronze is an early career award that recognises an individual who has published outstanding work in any of the RSS Journals. 

The Guy Medal in Bronze is awarded annually.

    The Guy Medal in Bronze is an early career award that recognises an individual who has published outstanding work in any of the RSS Journals. 

    Eligibility criteria for nomination for the Guy Medal in Bronze: 

    • Fellow of the Society for at least two consecutive years on 1 January in the year the medal is to be awarded 
    • Within 15 years of the award of their first degree on 1 January of the year this medal is to be awarded. If the first degree is at master’s level, the limit is 14 years 
    • The work cited in the nomination must be published in any of the RSS Journals. 

    Allowances may be made for documented career breaks (e.g., parental leave, caring responsibilities, illness, or other significant interruptions). 

    Nominations should demonstrate: 

    • High-quality, innovative work that has made an important contribution to the field of statistics, appropriate for the nominee's career stage.

Her contributions are both methodological (developing new methods) and applied, with work published in Journal of the Royal Statistical Society, Series B.
