The RSS is currently seeking nominations for two important roles at the society:

- Honorary Officer for National Statistics
The Vice President for Education and Statistical Literacy is responsible for developing, promoting and building support for RSS policy work around education and statistical literacy. The term is usually for four years and over the course of a year the post holder would need to attend two to three meetings of the RSS Education Policy Advisory Group.
The Honorary Officer for National Statistics is responsible for developing, promoting and building support for RSS policy work around the government’s use of statistics. The post holder builds and maintains relationships with senior civil service stakeholders, particularly at the UK Statistics Authority, and works with the RSS President and other Honorary Officers to coordinate policy on all themes and offer advice to Council on a wide range of issues. The term is usually four years, and each year, the post holder would need to attend three meetings of the National Statistics Advisory Group and aim to have bi-annual meetings with both the National Statistician and chair of the UK Statistics Authority.
In addition, both post holders would be expected to attend three meetings of the RSS Campaigns Advisory Group, three Council and four Executive Committee per year.
