The Nuffield Foundation is looking to appoint a diverse board of experienced people who can actively contribute at a strategic level to the establishment of the Ada Lovelace Institute.
The Ada Lovelace Institute is a new research and deliberative body with the mission to ensure that data and artificial intelligence work for people and society. Based in Central London, it was established by the Nuffield Foundation in partnership with the Alan Turing Institute, the Royal Society, the British Academy, the Royal Statistical Society, the Wellcome Trust, the Omidyar Network’s Governance and Citizen Engagement Initiative, techUK and the Nuffield Council on Bioethics.
Board members will be expected to act collegiately and contribute to the wider board and strategy of the organisation, beyond their own expertise and will be expected to commit approximately two days per month to the Institute. Appointments will be for three years, with the possibility of extension.
