Glasgow

The Glasgow Local Group aims to run about 5 or 6 seminar/workshop style events per year. The talks range from statistical perspectives on topical themes such as the Independence Referendum and the Commonwealth Games to more methodological presentations by leading experts. Events are split between the Universities of Glasgow and Strathclyde and are typically in the afternoon or early evening. Meetings are often held jointly with other RSS groups and external organisations. Recent joint meetings have taken place with the OR Group of Scotland, AQMEN/Glasgow Social Statistics Group and the Environmental Section of the RSS.
