We are delighted to announce the opening of nominations for the 2027 RSS Honorary Fellowship. Honorary Fellows are lifetime members of the Society as a reflection of the positive impact of their work.
The award celebrates and recognises those whose work has significantly contributed to the fields of data science and statistics. Nominations from across all disciplines and professions are welcome, from education and journalism to the third sector and industry. The Society particularly encourages nominees who have bridged statistical thinking with other fields or advanced public understanding and trust in data and evidence.

Nominations close at midnight on 31 October 2026. Honorary Fellowships are given on a discretionary basis and may not be awarded every year, with successful nominees announced in 2027 and formally recognised at our awards ceremony at the RSS Conference in September.
